3.5/5 This cinematic adaptation of Ringu is far more superior than Suzuki's original book. The whole thing emanates a deep sense of eeriness and dread, occasionally punctuated with classic horror elements. The readjustments to the lead characters are praise-worthy.
Full of ironies, undercurrents, and catchphrases to entertain the theorists, with the murderous protagonist being ever ready to faint. However, the blind lady is a real thrill.
